So F'ING Pissed
Ugh...forgive me. I am LIVID right now. On Tuesday I received a phone call from the leasing agent at the apartment complex that Alex and I were hoping to move into in August. She asked when a good time would be to come in and sign a lease. I told her it was a bit difficult to say right then and there since Alex doesn't live in state at the moment, and is currently in Hawaii on vacation. I told her I could come in and sign the lease myself, and then Alex could sign onto it as soon as he could make it to Madison. She told me she'd prefer that we came in and signed together. Ok, no problem, right? I told her I'd call her when I found out from Al when he could come to Madison (most likely next Friday, the 18th). So then yesterday (Friday) I missed a call from the agent and she didn't leave a message. At that point the office was closed, so I couldn't really do much. Today (Saturday) after I got back from work, I checked the mail and had received a letter from the agent telling us that she could not rent us the apartment because we didn't meet the income requirements, even though I told her and gave her proof of my financial aid, which will pay my rent. She also enclosed the security deposit we turned in with our rental application. I am so completely confused. Why call us and tell us we have the apt. and then literally, 3 days later (the letter was postmarked on June 11th) tell us you cannot rent it to us. This is so shady. Was she upset that I hadn't gotten back to her with a time that we could meet to sign the lease? Sorry, my fiance is out of the continental us and has limited communication with me. Jeez. I am so worried and anxious. We have only about a month and a half to figure this shit out and with us both working full time, it is hard to look for places. I am worried we will not find somewhere that will take us with our "income situation." I guess when things start to look up, something always crashes down and fucks you up.

Summer
So, I have been out of school for about a month now, which is basically amazing. I haven't started my full time nannying job yet, but will start next Monday. I found out that I will be student teaching at Emerson Elementary in a 2nd grade class. I am SOOO excited! I cannot wait. My cooperating teacher invited me to attend a reading and math workshop with her in August, so hopefully I can do that. It would definitely be an awesome professional development experience.
So Al and I are in full wedding mode, which is nice. We are 99.9% sure about our reception venue and will meet with the priest at St. Fabian in early July to finalize the ceremony info. Hopefully our date is available at church!
Alex and I also found an apartment for August. We are just waiting to hear back to find out whether or not we got it. So, my fingers are crossed!
That's about all...things are finally looking (somewhat) up!
